Paul begins Ephesians by calling us to worship as we reflect on the incredible spiritual blessings we have received through Christ. Before creation, God knew us, loved us, and chose us in Christ, setting us apart to live for Him. Through Christ, we are also adopted into God’s family and receive His grace. Not because we earned it, but because of His love and sovereign plan. These truths remind us that our identity, worth, purpose, and significance are not found in worldly success or recognition, but in belonging to God. As we grasp the depth of being known, chosen, loved, and adopted by God, our natural response should be awe, gratitude, and a life of worship.
