John 20 takes us from the empty tomb to encounters with the risen Jesus. Through Mary, the disciples, and Thomas, we see different responses to the evidence of the resurrection. The first witnesses wrestle with belief and their doubts, but finally recognizing Jesus as Lord. As John nears the end of his Gospel, he reminds us that these things were written so that we might believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and receive life through Him. The question for each of us is simple: What will we do with what we have seen and heard about Jesus?
